Single from Atlas Engine. EP Out 7/29.

"This Is the Place"

Atlas Engine is the solo project of Brooklyn's Nick LaFalce (BRAEVES, Terrible Terrible). This Friday, July 29th, LaFalce releases After the End; and, earlier this month, he gave us single "This Is the Place."

On "This Is the Place," Atlas Engine pair ethereal and ambient guitars with swirling vocals. The song sits somewhere between alt rock and dream pop and deals with that person who doesn't always get that what they're looking for may be right in front of them: "As you made your great escape / You must have known the mess you’d make / If you're looking for signs / This is the place."

LaFalce self-recorded and produced everything on the EP, and his Atlas Engine project has a sound that slots in quite nicely with what I hear on indie rock radio these days. I could see that sound taking him far. Listen to "This Is the Place" below and look for After the End on Friday.

[Note: I know I'm a day behind on the seven-day submissions, but a busy weekend messed me up. I'll get to everything. I promise.]
