Titus Andronicus Live Album / Concert Film

Titus Andronicus at Shea Stadium last July.

S+@dium Rock: Five Nights at the Opera

Today, Titus Andronicus released the live document of their 2015 residency at Brooklyn's Shea Stadium. The five-night stand marked the release of the band's 3-LP rock opera, The Most Lamentable Tragedy, as well as the 30th birthday of Titus Andronicus frontman, Patrick Stickles.

S+@dium Rock: Five Nights at the Opera is available digitally today via Merge Records with a 12" vinyl version due on September 9th. As a companion to the release, Titus Andronicus have made available a 44-minute live concert film which was shot by Christopher Elia and Jeremy Aquilino over the course of the five-night celebration. Elia handled editing duties and managed to splice in some nice shots of our very own CoolDad Music logo as sported by Patrick Stickles.

In a press release, Stickles was careful to note of the film, "Though there is one scene that depicts the act of 'crowd surfing,' +@ does not encourage or condone such reckless behavior at our concerts. It infringes upon the rights of those who do not consent to getting kicked in the head - people can get hurt that way. The dance floor should be a safe and respectful environment for all, and violent, aggressive behavior has no place in a progressive gathering of true punks."

Check out the mostly positive and non-violent Shea Stadium performances below along with all of the dates so far announced for the upcoming Titus Andronicus "Rockers on the Road" tour. That tour kicks off on September 8th at Jersey City's Monty Hall.
