New Single from Lowlight. Touring with Pretenders. New EP Out 3/30.

"Can't Stop Now"

There's big news coming out of Lowlight Land. The band recently announced that they'd be heading out as support for the East Coast portion of Pretenders' U.S. tour. When that tour rolls into Red Bank's sold-out Count Basie Theatre on 3/30, it will coincide with the release of Lowlight's Born to Run EP. We'll leave the discussion about an Asbury Park band who decided to call their EP Born to Run for another day. Today, we have a new single from that release in the form of "Can't Stop Now."

"Can't Stop Now" continues Lowlight's progression away from pure country or Americana. While the guitars still retain a plaintive twang, it's Dana Sellers's synths that carry the song forward. All of that, combined with Renee Maskin's repeated, "You see it coming but you can't stop now," gives everything a dark sense of inevitability.

Check out "Can't Stop Now" below along with all of Lowlight's upcoming tour dates. Both NJ dates on their tour with Pretenders look to be sold out.

Born to Run is due on 3/30 from Cargo Records.

[On a personal note, -- isn't everything here a "personal note?" Anyway... -- Lowlight are great friends of CoolDad Music; and I'm smiling from ear to ear over all of this.]
