The Everymen Announce Next LP, Share New Single, Playing The Saint on April 5th

Lots of News from Everyland

Our friends The Everymen, fresh off of their trip to SXSW, have announced details of their forthcoming follow-up to 2012's New Jersey Hardcore. May 20th will see the release of Givin' Up on Free Jazz via Brooklyn's Ernest Jenning Record Co.

To coincide with the announcement, the band have made single "Spain" available via Soundcloud. The song, which has been a staple of the band's live sets for a while now, tells the story of the ill-fated love between a Spanish building and the sidewalk on which it sits. The song starts quietly with just Mike V singing over acoustic guitar; but it eventually explodes with the band's usual energy, adding keys, horns and vocals from Catherine Herrick as The Sidewalk.

As the always hard-working Everymen gear up for what promises to be a spring and summer of relentless touring, we all get a chance to catch their live show as they come to The Saint on April 5th. Joining The Everymen on the bill will be former D Generation guitarist Richard Bacchus and his band The Luckiest Girls as well as New Jersey's Pour the Pirate Sherry and Asbury's own The Battery Electric.
