"The Girl from Bangs Avenue"

Monmouth County's Where's Tino? formed in 2016 around the songwriting partnership of Mike Boylan (vocals / guitar) and Jennifer Wolff (vocals / keys / synths) and their shared love of 90s alt-rock and 70s / 80s power-pop. Rounded out by Christopher Rieth (lead guitar), Scott Rescigno (bass) and Jake Reid (drums), Where's Tino? released their debut EP, The Girl from Bangs Avenue, at the end of last year. Today, they're sharing the video for the title track.

Directed by Boylan, "The Girl from Bangs Avenue" stars Rob Hillmann as a driver dealing -- with impressive stoicism -- with a parade of nightly fares. One of those passengers is the title character played by Mackenzie "MACK" Brown. Both Brown and Hillman turn in great performances. The subtlety of Hillmann's reactions really is pretty funny, and he manages to keep his eyes on the road no matter what Brown and the rest of the cast throw at him.

The song draws heavily on the influences mentioned above. Think The Wallflowers meet The Cars.

Check out the video for "The Girl from Bangs Avenue" below, and check out Where's Tino? when they play Asbury Park Yacht Club this Friday, April 6th, as part of the release celebration for Karen Mansfield's Thistle & Boon along with Bruce Tunkel.

The Girl from Bangs Avenue EP is out now.
