Back To School
So, ok. I know I've been slacking here. It's just... ...I don't know. It's been kinda hard to be motivated for various reasons -- some obvious, some less so. Spent the last couple of days driving the cooldaughters around for last-minute first-day-of-school prep. Haircuts, doctor's appointments, stuff like that. I've also just, generally, been taking more time to hang out with the coolfamily or to go for bike rides or whatever. Fall and a new school year are upon us, though; and I'm resolving to try and ramp things back up here; post more stuff written by me. To that end, I found a nice car-free bike path yesterday and took a ride with one of my favorite albums of 2019. It's one you probably would have expected me to have covered by now, but... see above, I guess. Anyway, hoping to kick something out about that and some other stuff in the coming days. We'll see how it goes.

Thursday, it's Mikey Erg vs Jeff Erg in a solo showdown at Asbury Park Brewery. That one also features our beloved Shellshag, Lung, and our pals in Erotic Novels. Avail play a sold-out House of Independents. Friday, CoolDaughter 1 and I will be meeting CoolMom at Madison Square Garden for Vampire Weekend. Also on Friday, Fontaines D.C. play a sold-out Music Hall of Williamsburg with Pottery. On Saturday, Jeff and Mikey are joined by Joey as The Ergs! celebrate 15 years of DORKROCKCORKROD at First Unitarian Church in Philly. Also Sold out. Similarly, Fontaines D.C. take their show to Johnny Brenda's in Philly, which is -- You guessed it! -- sold out. Asbury Park Oyster Fest happens all weekend in Bradley Park.
I'm sure you'll find something fun to do. Have a great school year. Have fun this weekend; and, remember, school's open; drive carefully. Also, don't ever drink and drive.
