Bounders Releasing Debut EP. Show at The Saint on 2/13/16 with Stained Glass, Deaf Rhino, and Denizens Of Soil.

Bounders at Wonder Bar back in September 2015.

Narrows

Jersey Shore sextet, Bounders, came together in 2015 from the remains of Breathing Blue and The Vinyls. This week, the group are set to release their Pat Noon-produced debut EP, Narrows.

Narrows is five tracks of Bounders' ambient, mathy indie rock. The band's sound combines guitar-centric post-rock, programming, and Drew Duddy's vocals into something reminiscent of Oxford, UK's Foals. Singles "Lead Me to Water" and "Til We Sink" along with set closer "Trudge" lean toward the more epic side of things, while the soulful and jazzy "Metropolis" and the sometimes acoustic "Sail On" show that the band can also rein things in a bit.

The last time I got a chance to see Bounders, they were opening River City Extension's farewell show on Thanksgiving Eve. Their live show is a kinetic experience, and you can witness it in the friendly confines of The Saint this Saturday, February 13th, when Bounders celebrate the release of Narrows with help from Stained Glass, Deaf Rhino, and Denizens Of Soil. The album will be available for download a day earlier, on February 12th, and you will be able to pick up physical copies at the show.
