Neko Case recently announced a September 3rd release (ANTI-) for her next album, The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight. The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You. Today, she's giving us all a listen to "Man" from the record.
It would appear that Case's years of work with The New Pornographers have had a bit of an influence. A departure from her usual dark alt-country, "Man" is three-and-half minutes of power-pop, featuring the singer's trademark biting sense of humor.
As someone who's been listening to Neko Case for several years now, I'm really intrigued by the sound of this one.
Case also announced a tour to support The Worse Things Get... which features a September 25th stop at Philly's Electric Factory and a Radio City Music Hall show the following night.
