Queens of the Stone Age Played Vintage Vinyl (PHOTOS)

"In-Store" for ...Like Clockwork

I just wanted to post a few words and some pics from last night's Queens of the Stone Age performance at Vintage Vinyl Records in Fords, NJ.

This was doubly exciting for me as I would get to see one of the biggest pure rock bands in the world in a small and intimate setting, and I would finally be visiting Vintage Vinyl. There wasn't much time for shopping, but QOTSA played a blistering set of, mostly, material from their just-released ...Like Clockwork LP. The band, and especially frontman Josh Homme, seemed like they had a genuinely good time, bantering with the crowd throughout the 45 minute set. Afterwards, they defied what we'd all been told by the Vintage Vinyl staff and stuck around to sign records, CDs, and posters for the whole crowd.

The band were an extremely gracious bunch, and the store is someplace I will definitely have to visit again.

Thanks go out to Mike from Speak Into My Good Eye for making the trek to Fords earlier in the week to score the passes and then inviting me along for the show.
