A 2013 Favorite Song, Not on Spotify

...And Buddy!

I mentioned on Friday that I was going to try and get some other perspectives on the quickly dwindling year up here along with my own. As I chase some friends down for those and look over the ones I've received so far, I'm also contending with work and the pre-Thanksgiving string of half-days for the cooldaughters.

Today, I'll be capping what has likely been a not-very-entertaining afternoon for the girls with a trip over to the grand opening of the new Red Bank branch of Carlo's Bakery. Both CD1 & CD2 are rabid Cake Boss fans, and they'd be thrilled to get their picture taken with Buddy. We'll see how it goes.

I plan on getting at least one more guest year-end list up sometime between the distractions this week; but, while we wait for that, I figured I'd post one of my Currently-Unavailable-on-Spotify Favorite Songs of 2013.

We were over at friends' for yesterday's Giants game, and one of the conversations turned to the prevalence of technology in our lives and the idea of wanting to make sure that our kids all learned to experience the world non-electronically, at least on some level. That immediately had me thinking of the title track from the debut EP by Thanks (John and Mike from River City Extension), The Age of Missing Information.

Have a listen, and maybe go download the EP for free, while I get my own act together.
