This weekend, Asbury Park's Light of Day Festival, which raises money for research into Parkinson's disease, is the main attraction. Events range from an open mic night at The Wonder Bar to the sold out "Main Event" at The Paramount headlined by Johnny Rzeznik of The Goo Goo Dolls. Every venue in Asbury Park is doing something linked up with the festival, and you can find music ranging from kids' music to acoustic to indie rock to blues.
All day on Saturday, Asbury Underground presents acoustic sets throughout downtown Asbury Park at places like Russo Music, Holdfast Records, Where Music Lives, and several downtown galleries. Expect to catch free sets from Sandy Mack, Rick Barry, Cara Salimando, The Clydes, Ron Santee, and many more.
I didn't come close to listing everything below, but you can see the complete list of events here.

I think you misspelled Rzzezznikz.
ReplyDeleteFixed. Weird. Cause I know how to spell it. Maybe my brain just doesn't see that 'z' like "Paris in the the spring."
DeleteI misspelled Martin Courtney's name as Courtenay the other day. That's just because I've seen too much Yo La Tengo this year.
I would have sworn there was only one z, had to look it up.
