Hot Blood are that rare Asbury Park commodity: a straight-ahead hardcore punk band. The Asbury Park via Red Bank band recently barricaded themselves in the studio to put the finishing touches on their debut full-length, No Kings, which is due to come out on Little Dickman Records.
During some downtime from the recording process, the band decided to pay tribute to one of hardcore's pioneers, laying down a cover of Minor Threat's "Seeing Red." Lead singer Matt Kiley goes all in with, dare I say it, an even more ferocious delivery than the original. Stream the non-album track over at Hot Blood's ReverbNation page as you wait for the release of No Kings.
