What's Going On: February 7th & 8th, 2014

Paper Streets at The Berkeley in September

Shows, Birthdays, Swim Meets

Big weekend.

Tonight sees the return of our very good friends, Paper Streets, to the stage at Asbury Lanes in support of Seasick Mama. Accidental Seabirds, who just a few weeks ago packed out Asbury Lanes for their record release show, play a free show at The Berkeley with lots of special guests. Ms. Lauryn Hill brings her comeback tour to The Count Basie Theatre, and Colton Kayser will be celebrating the release of his new, self-titled album at The Saint.

For those willing to venture a little further afield, NJ's Don Giovanni Records will be holding Night 2 of their annual showcase at Music Hall of Williamsburg with Laura Stevenson, Shellshag, Upset, Worriers, and Nude Beach.

Tomorrow is Night 3 of the Don Giovanni Showcase at MHOW with Screaming Females, California X, Brick Mower, Priests, and Black Wine. BaBabes are at Langosta, and Hot Blood are supporting Vestibule at The Saint.

Oh, and tomorrow is the 11th birthday of the amazing and beautiful CoolDaughter #1 as well as her first swim meet as an 11-year-old. I may be a little sluggish tomorrow morning after another trip to Brooklyn tonight, but I'm looking forward to celebrating the day with her.

Have fun, whatever you get yourself up to this weekend.
