"Speakeasy"
The So So Glos' 2013 album BLOWOUT was one of my favorites last year. We're just about a month shy of the one-year anniversary of the album's official release, but the band have made the record a gift that keeps on giving with the new video for album cut "Speakeasy."
If The So So Glos have a band anthem, then "Speakeasy" is it. In about three minutes, the song and video hilariously capture quite a bit of the band's philosophy regarding technology and its effects on human interaction.
Not only do I love BLOWOUT, but the Labor Day So So Glos' / Diarrhea Planet show that CoolMom and I attended at Asbury Lanes in September stands as one of the best times we had last year. I hope we can get my Bay Ridge, Brooklyn brethren back through here sometime soon.
