Back to the Real Work
I'm getting back after it following a week of vacation and a week of catch-up at work. This weekend presents yet another slate of difficult choices.
Tonight, Jeff Raspe's "Locals Live" is a good one with Cranston Dean and Gay Guy / Straight Guy playing for free at Langosta. Sound Waves has Cherry Sea, Puppy Grease, and From The Ground next door at APYC. Solar Circus plays The Saint.
Friday night, Don Jamieson of "That Metal Show" brings, well... ...metal... to The Brighton. You can get your 1990s alt rock fix from Toadies and Supersuckers over at The Stone Pony.
Saturday night brings another local band's record release party to Asbury Lanes. This time, psych / space / noise rockers Wreaths will be celebrating the release of their self-titled, debut full-length along with Birthwater, Crystallines, and Killing Horse labelmates Life Eaters.
I'm looking to get out there at least one or two nights this weekend. I hope to see you. Come find me on Saturday night, and I'll tell you all about how CoolDaughter #2 did in her first-ever softball game. Softball never took with the first one, so this is my last chance.
