One of CoolMom's Favorites
The Lemonheads' (I think they had the "The" by 1992) It's A Shame About Ray is a classic of the early 1990s altpoprock era and remains one of my favorite records to this day. I've mentioned before that it is one of the many loves that CoolMom and I share. "My Drug Buddy" may be one of her favorite songs.
Lo-fi synth popper Dom released a pretty faithful cover today of the track by his Massachusetts brethren. As you might expect, it's a bit synthier than the original; but I think I like it.
