So I set this thing to fire off before I left for my business trip on Monday afternoon. I didn't have time to do my usual blurb, so it was just going to be the list. Then, I suddenly found myself with a free hour this morning, so...
Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit come to Prague to play at Palac Akropolis on Thursday night. I have a super early flight home in the morning, so I'm still on the fence about this one. I always say I'm going to see a show when I'm traveling on business, though. It looks like I've got a free night, so we'll see.
Back in New Jersey, Cro-Mags are at Asbury Lanes on Thursday with White Collar Crime LLC, Ensign, Real Cops, and School Drugs. The Nick Clemons band come to The Saint, while X Ambassadors play Wonder Bar.
A Great Big Pile Of Leaves return to Asbury Lanes on Friday with support from Scotch LaRock fave, Prawn. Thomas Wesley Stern play for free at Langosta, while Merrel and Top-Hat play APYC. Overlake kick off their fall tour at Lot 13 Longbar in Bayonne with Sharkmuffin and Sunshine and The Rain. The Wonder Bar features a solid bunch of locals headlined by Tara Elliott and The Red Velvets. The Vibrators are at The Brighton with Graveyard School, T.V. Tramps, and The Red Wave. You can check out A Will Away, Cross Town Train, On Your Marks, Grand Mariner, Gatherer, Arrows In Her, and Teenage Halloween at a house show in Jackson.
Hub City Stompers are at Asbury Lanes on Saturday. Sorority Noise headline a show at The Batcave in Montclair, and Useless Christ Records present New Jersey Deathfest at The Court Tavern. KENYA, Semiotics, Tour De Force, Grey Goes Black, and -- appropriately -- Maeby Funk play the Banana Stand in New Brunswick.
Austin Lucas headlines Sunday Service at Asbury Lanes. Also on Sunday, New Jersey Deathfest continues at The Court Tavern.
