It's Been a Year
So, I think it was a year ago when I first had the silly idea to put all of my weekly Facebook event searching into a set of listings for you. It usually ends up being my biggest post of the week, and I'm really happy when people tell me it helps them out. There are times when I make mistakes or forget to include something, and those are the times when you're welcome to send in corrections or additions. I'll do my best to make this the place to come to find out what's going on locally or, sometimes, with our local bands in other places.

On Friday night, Plato Zorba bring their surf jazz stylings to APYC along with A Rocket to Mars, Finchler, and Blaze. The Brighton has Hookers & Blow, who feature members of Guns n Roses, Quiet Riot, and more. Teenage Halloween are back in Montclair at The Meatlocker with Gottem, Fire Is Motion, Secret Mountain, and more. It's Night 2 of Take Shelter 2015 at New Brunswick's PussyPad featuring Perennial Reel, American Lions and a couple of bands we've mentioned here: Eagle Daddy and The Blithedale Romance.
Saturday brings Tijuana Panthers to Asbury Lanes along with The Garden and Ba Babes. Take Shelter moves over to The Bomb Shelter with Vasdueva, Gatherer, Lake Effect, and Hodera. The Disconnects hold a record release show at The Brighton. Teenage Halloween are in Brooklyn with Mikey Erg, Brook Pridemore, and more. Blisstique venture up to Manhattan for a show at The Delancey with Sammy Serious, The Zeros, Gotham Rockets, and Gavree. The Munsens hold their tour kickoff show at Wonder Bar with Sun Voyager, Ashes To Oranges, and This That and The Others.
On Sunday, The PussyPad is back in action with Eagle Daddy, Pour the Pirate Sherry, and more. The Clef brings Big Neil (Tom from The Front Bottoms), Have a Good Season, Grand Mariner, and a few others to Village Coffee.
I hope all of your dreams came true in 2014 or that it was at least not too bad for you. 2015 is going to be a big, big one for all of us. I hope to see you at a few shows. If you're not sure where to go, then keep coming here. I'll fill you in.
