Hey look. It's snowing. On the bright side, this is probably the last of it, but who knows? I'm pretty sure I have to leave on a business trip this Sunday night which will see me gone for most of next week. I'm also going to miss all of the shows on an unusually packed Sunday night (Beach Slang! Waaaa!) If you care, you can watch the Instagram for dispatches from Barcelona.

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for show cancellations tonight. I'll do ~~this~~ here to any shows postponed because of the snow.

Provided things go on as scheduled Thursday evening, you can spend the first of two nights with River City Extension at Asbury Lanes. The band are set to release their third LP Deliverance on March 10th and just started streaming it over at Paste. They'll be performing with Air Traffic Controller and Wild Rompit on Night 1 of their two night stint.

UPDATE: Thursday's show at Asbury Lanes is CANCELED. All tickets will be honored tomorrow. Pour yourself a nice glass of whiskey tonight and go stream Deliverance at Paste.

River City Extension are back at Asbury Lanes on Friday, this time with Air Traffic Controller and Creeptones. JNMF, Blisstique and more are in Harrison for the Ironbound Rock Movement music and art festival. Asbury Park Yacht Club has Electric Arms and Ipswich Down (formerly of Snowball 37). Save Face, Hodera, Weird And Wonderful Words, and more are at Corona's Castle in Jackson. Glycerine Queens head to New Brunswick's Empire for a show with Party Cops, Microwave Death, Greasy Hearts, and Concord America. Denizens of our good friend Al C's Sugarblast label, Stuyvesant, play Lucky 7 with The Big Easy and TV Sound. Smalltalk head to Trenton for a show at Mill Hill Basement with The Great Explainer, The Holy Mess, and more. Screaming Females play a sold out show at Brooklyn's Silent Barn with the wild Downtown Boys and Aye Nako. GameChanger World has Candy Hearts, Semiotics, Crime Alert, and My Lonely Heart.

There's no let-up on Saturday. Day 2 of the Ironbound Rock Movement has Slaves And Martyrs, Burning Red Sun, and more. The Moms, Basement Beers, and Semiotics hit New Brunswick's Bomb Shelter. New Brunswick's Glitter Box has Morningside Lane, Atlas Bloom, Bobby Mahoney And The Seventh Son, Overhold, Bigger Than Bears, and Weird And Wonderful Words. Deal Casino continue their conquest of New Jersey with a show at The PussyPad that also features Dollys, Cold Weather Company, Lake Effect, and Centennials. ~~The excellent Grand Mariner headline~~ an all-ages matinee at The Saint with Loser Year, Secret Mountain, Goo Lagoon, and Collector. Corey Glover plays the evening show there with Lower The Veil, Negative Sky, Sekond Skyn, and Ropetree.

Among the shows I will, most likely, be missing on Sunday is Life Eaters, EULA, and Lip Action at Abbey's Pub in Jersey City. Musicians On A Mission host the "Come To Your Senses" benefit at Monmouth Beach Cultural Center. Brittney On Fire presents Goodbye Tiger, Jeanette Ferri, Books., Papa Reese, Bradlee Caldor, and Flylight at Scarlet Pub in New Brunswick. Cursive come to a sold-out Asbury Lanes with CoolDad Music favorite Beach Slang and The Nighty Night.
