What's Going On: 6/25, 6/26, 6/27 & 6/28, 2015

The Jolly Daggers hit APYC this Saturday night.
School's Out For Summer

Lots of stuff this weekend. On the CDMHQ side, we've got swim meets Friday through Sunday, summer camp prep, and some other stuff keeping us busy. I'm sure I'll be able to squeeze in a show or two, though.

On Thursday, Pat DiNizio continues his free run at APYC, this time with help from Bobby Mahoney. Trenton's MillHill Basement has Toys That Kill, Mikey Erg, Honah Lee, The Groucho Marxists, and Benny The Jet Rodriguez. Lifeguard Nights are back at The Saint with Acid, Wormburner, Hammell On Trial, and an acoustic set from former Monterey frontman, Carter Henry. Pete Francis comes to Wonder Bar.

Friday night brings Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, and the unmissable Mariachi El Bronx to the Summer Stage. Asbury Lanes hosts the after-party for that one. Accidental Seabirds play for free at APYC with Up The Chain. American Lions and Semiotics celebrate their homecoming with a show at New Brunswick's Bomb Shelter that also has Gardens, Thieves, and GIN WAR. The Brighton hosts The One-2s, GayGuy / StraightGuy, Eastern Anchors, The Brixton Riot, and Zero For Conduct. Hall & Oates play a sold out Basie. Finchler are back at Langosta Lounge with the great Black Wine. The Rail House has Wolfasaurus REX, The Black Sox Scandal, Atomic Earth, and Lowlight. ROMP and Ghost Camp are in Bruns at Tromaville with Oso Oso, Save Face, and Born Without Bones.

Asbury Park Yacht Club brings us the debut peformance from The Jolly Daggers who feature Ron Santee, Robbie Butkowski, and more on Saturday. They'll be playing with The Off White. Adolescents, Weirdos, Night Birds, and Electric Frankenstein are at Asbury Lanes. Jersey City's Dopeness hosts All Sensory Void, YJY, Modern Chemistry, and The Silver Screen. Hot Blood head up to Montclair for their first-ever show at The Meatlocker with Ninety-Six, Spowder, and The Hellship Mutiny. Paramount Backstage kicks off its summer series with the legendary Graham Parker. Jesse Malin is at The Stone Pony. The Asbury Park Night Bazaar close out their season with Black Flamingos and Bongo Surf at Anchor's Bend.

On Sunday, Crosstown Train celebrate their record release at Asbury Lanes with a whole bunch of bands including Have A Good Season, Save Face, North Runner, My Heart My Anchor, and Good Luck Spaceman. Deal Casino continue their summer residency at APYC. D'Angelo is at Starland. Presidential interviewer, Marc Maron, is at Count Basie.

Lots happening, but there's also kind of a calm before the holiday weekend storm feel thing about this week. There's plenty of good stuff to catch, so I hope I'll see you out there.
