Wreaths play Indian Summer. Dentist hit Wonder Bar. The Roadside Graves celebrate Acne / Ears.

Indian Summer

It's starting to feel like fall, the season where every single food item sold in Trader Joe's gets a pumpkin version and the outside temperature fluctuates between 85 degrees and 50 degrees. Ah, autumn. You can head out for some pretty good stuff on the warm / cool days of this upcoming weekend.

You can make like Pope Francis and head into New York City on Thursday to catch our buds in dollys and Deal Casino at Arlene's Grocery. Closer to home, you've got Jeff Luke, Steve Burks, and The Vansaders at The Saint.

On Friday night, Jon Caspi and The Vaughns play APYC for free. The super-sweet folks of ROMP return to New Brunswick after way too long with a show at The Banana Stand that features Lee Corey Oswald, Soda Bomb, and Luke Henderiks. Jersey City's Sean Kiely, who put out an excellent album earlier this year, heads to NYC for a show at Rockwood Music Hall. The Saint has a night of comedy and music featuring stand-up from James Weir, Andrew Lawson, Robert Smedberg, and Pat Goldsmith. Music comes from Gezebel Gipsy, Gravity Well, and After The Burn.  The Parlor Mob are back at The Stone Pony with The Gay Blades, Deal Casino, and Sun Voyager. The Battery Electric head to Brooklyn's Black Bear Bar.

On Saturday, The Asbury Park Fall Bazaar takes over Convention Hall and Indian Summer returns to Anchor's Bend. This year's Indian Summer expands to two days, includes beach camping, and features Cosmicide, Wreaths, Mad Feather Group, Ribeye Brothers, Gringo Motel, Von Mons, and more on Saturday. The Shady Street Show Band are at APYC. Corrina, Corrina head to Long Branch's Grindhouse for a show with Brook Pridemore, Boys In Crop Tops, and more. The Wonder Bar hosts Milly, (the lovely) Dentist, Bounders, and Deaf Rhino. The Roadside Graves, whose Acne / Ears is an absolute gem, hold their NJ record release at Metuchen's Old Franklin Schoolhouse with help from Community Center and Renee Maskin.

Indian Summer continues for a second day on Sunday with gods, Band Of Changes, Stained Glass, and more. YJY head down into the Millhill Basement in Trenton for a show with Dune Rats, Cornelius The Third, and I Have Been Floated.

Have a pumpkin sice latte. Relax with a pumpkin stout. Dip some pumpkin seed tortilla chips in habaƱero pumpkin salsa. Warm up with some pumpkin soup, and have a pumpkin muffin. I'll see you out there somewhere, pumpkin.
