dollys and Anthony Yebra have struck again, this time with a new video for dollys' recent single "imitator."
The song trades the band's trademark late 60s / early 70s pop for something a little more 90s power poppish. I think, when I posted the single the first time, I said something about Veruca Salt or Matthew Sweet. That's kind of the vibe I get from this one anyway. You can see for yourself.
The clip features many familiar faces lip syncing their way through the song in Erik Romero's living room. Check it out, and see just how many people you recognize.
dollys will be at Wonder Bar this Saturday for a Thanksgiving food drive that also features Airacuda, Western Star, The Soul Compound, and Ian Bamberger. Bring some non-perishable food items there and check out the live version of "imitator" along with a whole bunch of other great stuff.
