Fresh off of her spot-on performance as Exene Cervenka during Screaming Females' X cover set on Halloween night in Asbury Park's Convention Hall, Marissa Paternoster has announced the release of the second album from her solo project, Noun. A surprise release, Throw Your Body on the Gears and Stop the Machine with Your Blood is available right now from Don Giovanni Records. Mark Bronzino of Kicking Spit also appears on the album; and the record features artwork from Marissa's mother, Leslie Paternoster.

Throw Your Body... contains plenty of Marissa Paternoster's trademark vocals and guitar work, but it strays from her work with Screaming Females by adding elements of pop and electronica.
