I hope everyone had a peaceful and relaxing holiday. It's Black Friday and Record Store Day, so it's time to shake off that food coma and get after it. You've got lots of choices show-wise over the next 3 days.

Smalltalk play two free shows today in celebration of Plus!, their full-length compilation. They start the day with an in-store at Holdfast in Asbury Park at 2pm. Then Smalltalk head over to APYC for an evening with Michael Jackson & The Beetles. The Grindhouse hosts Corrina Corrina, Conover, Toy Cars, Everyone Except Me, Trapbang, and Those Corn People. P-DUB and Sonni Shine play Langosta for free. Overlake play a show at Lot 13 in Bayonne with Twin Fog and The Foxfires. Several bands play a Bernie Sanders fundraiser at Montclair's Meatlocker. That event features Frogg Party, Jean Pool, Will Wood, The Vaughns, and LKFFCT. Hot Blood are at The Saint along with Negative Sky, American Anger, Dead Empires, and Circuitry. Status Green are back at The Stone Pony with Last Perfect Thing and GayGuy / StraightGuy.

On Small Business Saturday, gods and Savants hit APYC for free. Eastbourne and Sweet Lucy play Brighton Bar. Colton Kayser joins Cranston Dean at Langosta. Hot Blood are at it again, this time at The Meatlocker with Subcultures, Wailing Kids, Ladder Match, and Feudalism.

Asbury Park kicks off the season with a Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony (the comments on the event page are GOLD!) featuring Lost In Society and The 4th Avenue Choir. That kicks off at 6pm.

On Sunday, NYC's Bowery Electric hosts an all-NJ night with Bobby Mahoney and The Seventh Son, Carter Henry, and Morningside Lane. Hawkwind, Hendersleben, and No More Pain play Brighton Bar. The Saint hosts an all-day 21st anniversary celebration. Wyland, Motor Heart Man, Bad William, and Platinums are at New Brunswick's Scarlet Pub.
