I'm going to start this one off with a big congratulations to my friends in Dentist. This Friday, they release their second LP, Ceilings, with Little Dickman Records. In the two years since their debut, they've worked extremely hard recording, mixing, and touring. They even made a few videos... The final product is very, very good; and the release show this Friday promises to be a party to remember.
Anyway...
On Thursday night, Yawn Mower are up in Montclair at 73 See Gallery with Heavy Petting, Snuff Redux, Gabriella and Rosey Bengal. Nervous Triggers head to Brooklyn's Grand Victory for a show with Chandeli'ers, The Supertones, and Weird Skin. Alvvays, who I absolutely frigging love, play the free Celebrate Brooklyn show in Prospect Park with Ducktails and Big Thief.
Pinegrove headline 73 See Gallery on Friday night with Ratboys, Cachabacha, Blue Ranger, and Francis Lombardi. Volt Direction and DJ Magic Juan provide the sounds for a free night at Brighton Bar. Overlake, The RockNRoll Hi-Fives, Sink Tapes, and Pioneer The Eel play what promises to be a great one at Old Mogul Theatre in Montclair.
Also on Friday, Dentist celebrate the release of Ceilings with GayGuy/StraightGuy, Yawn Mower, and Darkwing at The Saint. They'll have copies of the record available; and, as I said, it's going to be a great night.
On Saturday night, Little Dickman records bring BOYTOY back to Asbury Park for a free show at Anchor's Bend with The Off White. Dentist play their NYC release show at Berlin with Best Behavior, Dead Stars, and Lightning Bug. Waiting On Mongo! play for free at Langosta. The Everymen hit Prove It All Night at Monty Hall in Jersey City with Psychic Baos. Our friends in Little Silver play The Rock Shop in Brooklyn with Mesiko and Pete Sinjin. Sharkmuffin are at Shea helping Pink Mexico celebrate their record release with Iyez and CHILLEMI. The Obvious are in Jersey City at Transmission with Cyclone Static, The Big Easy, and Mr. Flannery & His Feelings.
Deal Casino play APYC for free on Sunday. Slothrust, Mal Blum, A Deer A Horse, and Blunt Mary are at Aviv in Brooklyn. Have A Good Season, Trunkweed, Rita Fishbone, and GULPS play Paradise: Lost in New Brunswick.
