"Whitewalls (PVD X Fancy Colors Remix)"
Pat Van Dyke is a producer, composer, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist living in New Jersey. In 2015, Van Dyke released Right On Time. The album showcases Van Dyke's style for mixing intricate, experimental electronica with jazz. It sits somewhere between modern and vintage; and, while I'm no jazz expert, there's a freshness and originality on Right On Time that's extremely engaging.
Earlier this month Van Dyke, in collaboration with Fancy Colors, released a remix of Right On Time track "Whitewalls." The remix ramps up the electronic feel of the original and adds some vocals that take take the song from its jazzy, funky groove to almost an indie, synth pop dance track.
