"See Your Light"

Over the past ten years or so there have been a number of guitar / drum duos popping up on the indie music scene with The White Stripes and The Black Keys coming immediately to mind.

Now there's a new-ish duo (They formed at the beginning of 2015.) called The Good Water. Comprised of Rob Clements on guitar and vocals and Tom Fisher on drums and vocals, they hail from Birmingham, England. Earlier this year, they released a double A-side single "Everything Is / Apple" and have just put out a new single "See Your Light." The band's sound has been described as "psych-rock" and "60s blues-pop."

Well, the new song certainly lives up to that description. It's enormously catchy with some great guitar playing with a kick-ass solo and a nice buzzy moment, pounding drums, and a cheesy organ. It's just the type of number you'd hear on AM radio back in the day sandwiched between The Beatles and Jeannie C. Riley. It's kind of like The Doors without Jim Morrison (but rocks a lot more) -- which is why I like it

As for the band's future, in a conversation with the Live4ever music site, Rob had this to say: "All we can say is that we plan to record and release our debut album in Spring 2017, tour the living hell out of it, and continue to write music that means something to us both."

"See Your Light" is available now on most of your favorite download and streaming sites.
