...And Here's a New, Spooky One From Black Flamingos Before I Go

"Haunted Hall"

Just in time for their free "Aloha Friday" set at Anchor's Bend tonight, Asbury Park's Black Flamingos give us a seasonal surprise with "Haunted Hall." Recorded at Coffee Haus Studios in Freehold, the track is a surf, spy rock instrumental that features the signature guitar work of Robbie Butkowski backed by Declan O'Connell on bass and Vincent Minervino on drums. To give this one a bit more October flavor, Butkowski also contributes on the organ.

The track is available now over at The Black Flamingos' Bandcamp page.

As I said, you can catch the guys tonight at Asbury Park's Anchor's Bend for the latest installment of Aloha Friday. Later this month, on October 28th, they'll be at The Saint for "Monster Surfing Time." Joining them on that one will be Philly's Primitive Finks, and there will be DJ interludes from DJ Felton Fink, DJ Hi-Tide, DJs Elle Von Skelle & Robbie, and DJ Sufferin' Bastard. There will also be a costume competition and other fun stuff, including ghost stories from someone calling himself GhoulDad.
