New Single From Australia's Fallon Cush

"Long Shot"

By Henry Lipput

Last year I reviewed Bee In Your Bonnet, the latest album from Australia's Fallon Cush (It was number two on my list of favorite albums for 2016).

Because it had been four years since April, the band's previous release, it's especially good news that they've just put out a brand new song and are working on a new album that will be out around October of this year.

The new single, "Long Shot," is a terrific radio-friendly rocker that brings to mind the sound of Elton John in the mid-70s, especially because of some swell piano and guitar and great backing vocals. In addition to the Bee In Your Bonnet lineup of Steve Smith, Suzy Goodwin, Glen Hannah, and  Josh Schuberth, Fallon Cush have added Casey Atkins on lead guitar and Tim Byron on keyboards (Both have been playing in the live band since the release of Bonnet.) as well as producer Michael Carpenter on bass.

The new song has a fuller sound than their earlier work, and the promise of a new album gives fans of the band (and that really should be you) something to look forward to hearing later this year.

"Long Shot" is available on most of your favorite streaming services.
