Premiere: Sean Kiely's Half of Split 7" with Jeff Taylor

"Willow, Echo"

I've written here before about Jersey City singer / songwriter Sean Kiely. Kiely is always able to bring something fresh and innovative to the relatively simple format of a singer and an acoustic guitar. On June 2nd, Sean Kiely and Jeff Taylor will release split 7" WILLOW, TEXAS via Multiple Logo Records. We have the premiere of Kiely's contribution, "Willow, Echo," right here.

The song is quiet, mostly acoustic (except for the hint of Jeff Taylor's electric guitar), and deals in solitude and fuzzy memories. John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Kurt Vile) handled mixing duties.

The split also includes Jeff Taylor's "A Song in Texas." The pair recorded both tracks live in Kiely's Jersey City home studio.

Kiely and Taylor celebrate the release of WILLOW, TEXAS with two shows -- one on release day, June 2nd, at Jersey City's Iris Records and another at Rockwood Music Hall's Stage 1 on June 16th. You can pick up a copy of the record at either show or pre-order it over at Sean Kiely's Bandcamp page.
