New Single from Brooklyn's Dead Stars. New LP Is Due 9/1.

Dead Stars in Austin in 2015

"Pink Clouds"

Dead Stars released the first single from their upcoming third LP, Perfect Patterns, yesterday. I've been in love with this band's sound since I came across Slumber a couple of years ago. On "Pink Clouds," they go for something slightly more aggressive than they have in the past while maintaining a solid balance between noise and power pop. The song is simple, straightforward, fast-paced, and loud. With lyrics like "Give me back my youth" and "Pink clouds let me down," it sounds like getting older / growing up will be among the themes that Dead Stars hit on the new album.

Perfect Patterns comes out on 9/1 via Weird Tree Records, and all pre-orders get an advance download of "Pink Clouds." Dead Stars will be playing what sounds like it will be a great release show that same day at Brooklyn's Sunnyvale along with Big Bliss, Fraidycat, and Grim Streaker.
