Zombie Walk
The 10th iteration of the Asbury Park Zombie Walk happens this weekend. That's always a good time. Shamble out to a show or two.
Things get rolling on Thursday night when Oginalii, Algebra II, and Joe Dicamillo play Asbury Park Brewery. Alvvays bring their tour to Brooklyn Steel. Joe P and Frank Lombardi kick off a Thursday night residency at Langosta Lounge. Crocodiles play Monty Hall in Jersey City. Music Hall of Williamsburg has Black Lips, The Nude Party, and Diet Choke. Recent Cool Matty C interview victims, The Yawpers, hit The Saint with Little Vicious, Honah Lee, and Jolly Daggers. Drive-By Truckers play Jersey City's White Eagle Hall with Strand Of Oaks. Sweet Spirit are back East playing Philly's World Cafe Live.
On Friday night, Bobby Mahoney and The Seventh Son play APYC with The Barrbarians. LVL UP play the first of two nights at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right. Exmaid, Nervous Triggers, Secretary Legs, and Orations are at Flemington DIY. Low Cut Connie play Irving Plaza with Sweet Spirit, Daddy Long Legs, and DJ Jonathan Toubin. Langosta Lounge has Rachel Ana Dobken, Avery and The Man Devils, and Ruby My Dear. Rise Against close out the Stone Pony's Summer Stage with Pierce The Veil and White Lung. Tula Vera, Secret Nudist Friends, Shred Flintstone, and Elevator Operators are at Montclair's Meatlocker. It's College Radio Day all day over at WMCX at Monmouth U.
Primitive Finks soundtrack the Zombie Walk over at Asbury's Beach Bar on Saturday. Steve Burks releases his latest EP at The Harp N Bard in Clifton with Matty Carlock, Brian Rothenbeck, Chris Skel, and Mike Vidal. The Bronx play House of Independents. Lowlight head up to Hoboken to play Maxwell's Tavern with The Normal Living and Josh Yavneh & The Culprits. Daniel Johnston is at The Town Hall in NYC. Waiting On Mongo do Kool & The Gang and Little Vicious do Cream at Wonder Bar.
