What's Going On: 5/3, 5/4, 5/5 & 5/6, 2018

Rye Coalition opened White Eagle Hall last year. On Saturday, they headline the first anniversary show. Will there be cupcakes?

It's Warm!

After an 80 or so day long February, we finally have some warm weather here in the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic. I see all of your beach Intagram pics, and it reminds me of how lucky we are to live where we do. The Atlantic and plenty of shows.

On Thursday night Foxanne and Kate Dressed Up are in Brooklyn at Brooklyn Bazaar with The Hell Yeah Babies and Edenspore. Blind Melon follow their surprise Asbury pop-up show earlier in the week with a show at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. Graham Parker plays a second sold-out show at Randy Now's Man Cave in Bordentown.

The Royal Pacifics come to Anchor's Bend for Aloha Friday. Also on Friday, Modern Crowds, The Paper Jets, Justin Franco are at The Asbury. The Brothers Union, The Mercury Brothers, Canyon Ride, and Dave Mooney and The Aztec Gypsy play the brewery. Little Bear, Sunshine Spazz, and Good Luck Spaceman are at APYC. Dentist head up to Gold Sounds in Brooklyn for a show with Small Drag, Mars Motel, and Fuckery. Streetlight Manifesto play a sold-out House of Independents. Chemtrail, TrapBang, Miles NxBxdy, and Bump Tunez are at The Saint. Richard Lloyd plays two sets at Randy Now's.

On Saturday, it's the return of The Ratchets when they play Asbury Park Brewery with Lost In Society and Crazy & The Brains. Underdog are at The Brighton in Long Branch with Hogan's Heroes and a bunch of other bands. School Drugs play Court Tavern in New Brunswick with Dead Blow Hammer, Scarboro, and JAWS. Forth Wanderers celebrate their record release at Market Hotel in Brooklyn with Ó and Trace Mountains. Clash Bar in Clifton hosts A BIRD, pioneer the eel, Bellerophon, and Ancient Babies. Lowlight, The Vaughns, and Lance Scott Greene play Metuchen's Old Franklin Schoolhouse. Lost Boy ?, Emmerson and Her Clammy Hands, Baglady, and Bueno are at Union Hall in Brooklyn. White Eagle Hall celebrate their first anniversary with Rye Coalition, Will Wood and The Tape Worms, The RockNRoll Hi-Fives, and Long Neck.

It's the second installment of music at All Things Local in Red Bank on Sunday with Francis Lombardi, Joseph Alton Miller, and Renee Maskin. Noise In The Attic are back at Inkwell in Long Branch with Ella Ross, Justin Franco, Paul McCormick, Jay Monday, and Andrew Ludewig. The Wonder Years, Tiny Moving Parts, Tigers Jaw, and Worriers play a sold-out House of Independents.

Enjoy the weather. Don't celebrate the huge national holidays of Star Wars Day and Cinco De Mayo too hard. Don't drink and drive.
