"Little Bugs"
This is the kind of thing that, in line with my current overall laziness, I might normally throw up over at Check This Out. But I wanted to call special attention to this one from Herzog since I loved their 2014 LP Boys so much.
"Little Bugs" is a single off of the band's first album in five years; and it brings back their guitar-heavy, power pop sound. The songs are arena-sized, but the sentiments are always personal. There's a nostalgic feeling to Herzog's sound, and that's reflected in the video for "Little Bugs."
The band originally recorded the songs that appear on Me vs You as part of 2015 sessions with producer Kevin S. McMahon (Titus Andronicus, Diarrhea Planet, more) at his Marcata Sound Studios. Those sessions produced what became two albums worth of material. Me vs You represents the first half and is due from Exit Stencil Recordings on February 22nd.
