This Saturday, I'll be heading with a few friends up to Citi Field for a surprisingly crucial game between the Mets and the Washington Nationals. It's Hawaiian Shirt Night, so I'm really looking forward to it. There are plenty of shows going on all weekend, too.
On Thursday, Seattle's Thunderpussy are at The Saint with Hollis Brown. Deal Casino play House of Independents with American Trappist, Sonic Blume, and Sean McVerry. There's also a cool show at the brewery featuring Chemtrail, Psykidelic Oven Mit, and our pal Adam Finchler. Chris Gethard plays two sold-out shows at the brewery on Friday. Alex Rosen's nameless band plays Brighton Bar on Friday with Just 6 Hours, Lost Transmission, Youth Moose, and The Red Room. Dentist and The Vaughns are in Metuchen for a free show on the plaza on Saturday, while I'm in Flushing. On Sunday, it's the fourth launch party for Fourth Wave at Transparent Gallery in Asbury.
