Last Weekend of My 40s
Monday will be the last day of my 4th decade. It's weird how much older it makes you feel to say you're 50 instead of 49, but that's life, I guess. Lots of good shows this weekend where you may see me "celebrating."
Algebra II are at The Saint on Thursday with Laura Wolf and Citrus. Plato Zorba play APYC on Friday night with kqhyt kqhyt. Hot Blood are at The Saint on Saturday with Hammer Fight and Public Serpents. Also on Saturday, They Might Be Giants celebrate their album, Flood, at Bowery Ballroom. Sharkmuffin, A Deer A Horse, and Emmerson and Her Clammy Hands play The Broadway in Brooklyn. Renee Maskin is at Belmar Arts Center with Dave Vargo and Amanda Duncan. On Saturday afternoon, Lost Romance, The Brixton Riot and Joe Zorzi play Transparent Clinch in Asbury. Asbury Lanes hosts a benefit to help combat Australia's wildfires that features Des & The Swagmatics and Connor Bracken.
