It's finally upon us. After months of anticipation, the first-ever Jersey Shore Music Fest happens tomorrow at Lakewood's First Energy Park.
The festival is showcasing, and I'm not kidding about this, over 50 bands, most of whom are from right in our backyard. Music starts at 11:15 and takes place on 6 different stages until midnight.
River City Extension, Papadosio, Aer, The Hush Sound, The Front Bottoms, Brick + Mortar, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why, Elevator Art, The Battery Electric, Mad Feather Group, Thomas Wesley Stern, Only Living Boy, The Porchistas, The Antics, Julian Fulton & the Zombie Gospel, The Black Jesuses, and on, and on...
Tickets are still available, and it looks like temperatures will only reach the low 90's!
I'll be ducking out of CoolMom's work barbecue a little bit early so that I can catch some of my own favorites. You should see if you can't tear yourself away from the beach for a day to support your local music scene.
