From Asbury Park to the Desert
The Battery Electric have released a wild new video for single "Dead Man's Trunk." The clip features an animated Ron Santee kind of... ...I don't know... ...losing it a little and leading police on a wild car / motorcycle chase through the desert.
Bassist Alex Rosen came up with the concept and, along with animator Pablo Marin and director Mike Richison, contributed illustrations. We got an inkling of Mr. Rosen's talents in the visual arts at the end of last year when he provided illustrations to accompany his list of favorite tracks by local artists in 2013.
The video comes just as The Battery Electric, along with fellow Little Dickman recording artists Hot Blood and T.V. Tramps are getting set to head to Texas for South By Southwest.
Lots of lonely, expansive desert down there in Texas.
