The Battery Electric plays Langosta for Ron Santee's Birthday

SXSW Kickoffs and SIMGE Presents

March is coming in like a lion. It brings with it college basketball madness and the annual South By Southwest music conference in Austin, TX. Several local bands will be making their way to Texas this year.

~~Tonight~~ Saturday, you can wish Lost In Society a good trip as they hold their kickoff show at Asbury Lanes. You can do the same with The Battery Electric over at Langosta Lounge and wish frontman Ron Santee a happy birthday in the process. Over at The Brighton Bar, Queens garage rock veterans The Fleshtones will be raising hell.

Tomorrow, our friends at Speak Into My Good Eye and The Saint present Chemtrail along with Dollys and Gay Guy / Straight Guy. This show was a casualty of our long winter nightmare several weeks ago, but it's been resurrected for us. Langosta Lounge has Karmic Juggernaut and Harper's Fellow for free.

I'll try to make it out to one or two of these this weekend. You should, too.
