PHOTOS of Hot Blood from Corrina, Corrina's Record Release at The Saint, 5/10/14

Hot Blood played Saturday's Corrina, Corrina record release show at The Saint.

Post-Softball Hardcore

As I get older, I appreciate a nice early set that gets me home before 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning. Midday Saturday, though, is a tough one for a suburban cooldad of two. CoolDaughter #2 had a 1pm softball game; and, while I'm not the coach, I do like to help out with pitching and generally keeping those first- and second-grade girls in line.

That meant missing several of the openers on the bill for Corrina, Corrina's Saturday afternoon record release show at The Saint. I got into The Saint just as Have a Good Season were leaving the stage following performances by Luke Henderiks and Loser Year. I did make it in time to catch the short, incendiary set from Hot Blood.

As usual, the quartet of Mat Kiley, Alex Rosen, Charlie Schafer, and Billy Straniero left everything on the stage. They got the mostly young crowd's, well, blood boiling in preparation for the high-octane Corrina, Corrina set that was to follow.

Check out some highlights of Hot Blood's set. See more here.
