UNDER THE COMMAND OF GENERAL EISENHOWER, ALLIED NAVAL FORCES, SUPPORTED BY STRONG AIR FORCES, BEGAN LANDING ALLIED ARMIES THIS MORNING ON THE NORTHERN COAST OF FRANCE.
June 6th was a pretty big day 70 years ago. Maybe take a moment to think about just how big at some point this weekend.
Anyway, this weekend is chock full of musical things to do all the way through Sunday. Tonight, Prehistoric Forest headline a rare four-band bill presented by Sound Waves at Asbury Park Yacht Club. Nashville's Moseley are at The Saint with help from Glycerine Queens. Multi-platinum selling country artist Trace Adkins comes to Starland.
Tomorrow night, Diarrhea Planet return to Asbury Lanes with help from Music Band, Black Wine, and Gods. The Wonder Bar features the first edition of Asbury Unplugged with stripped down, acoustic performances from many local favorites including members of The Creeptones and Bog Iron Bloom, Chris Brown, and The Vansaders' Doug Zambon.
EdTang & The Chops celebrate the recent release of their self-titled EP at The Saint on Saturday along with Philadelphia's The Gallerist, Tony Tedesco, and Mick Chick. Everyone who comes gets a free copy of the CD. Dark City Entertainment brings Trophy Scars to The Wonder Bar.
King Khan and his Shrines are back at Asbury Lanes on Sunday night. Deal Casino continue their free summer Sunday night residency at The Saint, and Bob Weir brings RatDog to the Paramount for what looks to be a sold out show.
