This is the weekend when, for one night only, you can get your grubby little mitts on the sophomore release from our very good friends, The Battery Electric, almost a full three weeks early. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though.

You can warm yourself up on a chilly Thursday by stopping into Langosta Lounge to catch another installment of Pat DiNizio's free "Confessions of a Rockstar" residency there. The Court Tavern has Subtitles, Weird and Wonderful Words, Noot, GIN WAR, and Bird Hotel. Brittney on Fire brings Franchise, Control, A Need For A Reason, Found Abandoned, and The Wolf Inside to The Saint. Sammy Kay plays Asbury's Parlor Gallery with Jeremy & The Harlequins and Brian McGee.

On Friday night, Chemtrail hold their EP release show at Asbury Lanes with help from NY In 64 and A Rocket To Mars. Teenage Halloween head up to New Brunswick's Pigeon Pad for a show with Basement Beers, The Great Depression, and more. Rahway's Rail House hosts Life After, Atomic Earth, The Rooftop, and Maeby Funk. Taylor Tote goes big for her EP release, holding it at Red Bank's Two River Theater. Dark City Entertainment brings another installment of Asbury Unplugged to The Wonder Bar featuring a little acoustic preview of Saturday's festivities from The Battery Electric's Ron Santee and Deal Casino's Joe Parella.

On Saturday night, The Gray Company hold their own record release show at 10th Street Live in Kenilworth with Owel, Terrible Terrible, Charles Sztyk, and Books. Ruby The Hatchet release their latest at a free show at APYC also featuring Drone Ranger. Hodera take a break from their break with a show at Empire in New Brunswick with The Antics, Shadowplay, and Debt League. Montclair's Meatlocker hosts Overlake, Wax Darts, Desir Decir, and VoirVoir. The legendary Mavis Staples comes to Monmouth University's Pollak Theater with help from Nicole Atkins. And our friends in ROMP journey from "Poop City" to the Poop Deck in Browns Mills for a show with GIN WAR, Dry Jacket, and more.

Also on Saturday, The Battery Electric release The Heart and The Thrill at Asbury Lanes. Joining them on a loaded bill are Jersey City's Black Wail and locals Frankenstein 3000, The VonMons, and Deal Casino. There will be rock, denim, fur coats, tight pants, hot sauce, and a few surprises. You can also take home a copy of the record before it comes out on Little Dickman Records on March 10th.

Once you've recovered from that, you can head back out on Sunday for You Blew It! and Tiny Moving Parts at Asbury Lanes. The Banana Stand hosts its hosts Semiotics along with Howlish, Aspiga, NGHTCRWLRS, and Fond Han. Where Is My Spacehip hold the record release for Mostly Crocodile at the Oak Ale House in Maywood with help from Young Legs. The hilarious Kurt Braunohler comes to The Saint.

It is a packed weekend for sure. Record releases galore. Get out there and add to your collection.
