The Everymen Are For New Jersey with the Statewide Video Premiere of "NJHC"

Hands Across NJHC

Our good friends, The Everymen, are proud New Jerseyans. They've traversed this country since the release of their sophomore effort, Givin' Up on Free Jazz, bringing the gospel of New Jersey rock and roll to every corner of this great nation. They combine the sounds of their New Jersey forebears like The Shirelles, The Misfits, and The Boss into a joyfully sweaty good time.

Today, The Everymen take over their home state with the New Jersey-wide premiere of Givin' Up on Free Jazz track "NJHC." Music-related websites and Facebook pages across the state metaphorically join hands this morning to bring you the video.

In addition to CoolDad Music, the video for "NJHC" is scheduled to premiere today at:

Asbury Lanes (web / Facebook)
The Asbury Park Press
Hoboken411
Jersey Beat
NJArts.net
NJArtsMag.com
New Jersey Stage
Pop-Break
Signal To Noise NJ (Tumblr / Facebook)
The Saint (web / Facebook)
Speak Into My Good Eye
United By Rocket Science
You Don't Know Jersey

The song pays tribute to the Garden State as The Everymen list out the many great Americans who hail from our crowded little paradise (Joe Piscopo, Pia Zadora) while performing in front of landmarks like the Margate Elephant and our own beloved Asbury Park Boardwalk. It's a take no prisoners love letter that dares to rhyme "Lodi" with "Bon Jovi."

Joe Centeno of badass NJ band, The RocknRoll HiFives, directed the clip. If I'm not mistaken, some of this looks to have been shot on location at another NJ landmark: The RocknRoll HiFives' very own basement. Everyman Jamie Zillitto did all the graphics and editing.

Check out the video right here or at any of your favorite New Jersey-based blogs / websites. As you enjoy your pork roll, egg, and cheese on a roll this morning, sit and contemplate the fact that -- for this brief moment in time -- The Everymen own New Jersey.
