Here we go again -- maybe for the final time. Even if we never do another show at the Asbury Park carousel, you'll always have plenty of great local things to check out.

On Thursday, The Weeklings (ft. Glen Burtnick and Bob Burger) and The Doughboys play for free in Belmar as part of WBJB's Songwriters on the Beach series. CDM faves Sink Tapes hold a release celebration for Window Unit Blues at Jersey City's Dopeness with Shitbox Jimmy, I Am An Island, Wax Darts, and Ken De Poto. Remember Jones brings a 20+ piece band to Deal to pay tribute to Joe Cocker and Leon Russell with a recreation of Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

The Vaughns head to 10th Street Live in Kenilworth with Wyland, Lowlight, and The Gray Company on Friday. Also on Friday, The Koffin Kats are at Asbury Lanes with OC45 and Pig Iron Profits. Accidental Seabirds hold a free homecoming show at APYC. Buckcherry are at Starland. The Wonder Bar hosts Gedeon Luke and The People, Des and The Swagmatics, Shady Street Show Band, and The Jack Moves.

Friday night also brings us back to the old carousel house in Asbury Park as we present our third and maybe final installment of Sundown at the Carousel with our friends at Little Dickman Records and Arcade Radio. We're sending summer off with a denim-clad bang as The Battery Electric top a bill that also features Brooklyn's BOYTOY and Hightstown's YJY. As always, the show will be free and all-ages. The Battery boys will rock you into the weekend, but make sure you get there early enough to catch BOYTOY and YJY. They're two bands you don't want to miss.

On Saturday night, Iggy / Stooges tribute act Street Walking Cheetahs take over Anchor's Bend with Los Pocos Locos. Trans Charger Metropolis celebrate the release of Haunted House Birds at Asbury Lanes with help from The Cold Seas and more. Cranston Dean and We're Ghosts Now play for free at Langosta. Zorzifest Is Dead somewhere in New Brunswick as Toy Cars, Deal Casino, LKFFCT, and Ken De Poto help send Modern Chemistry out on tour. Hodera are in Hoboken at Maxwell's Tavern with Truekey, In Writing, Rosey Bengal, and Bronze Thesaurus. Teenage Halloween are back at Montclair's Meatlocker with Forget This, The Subcultures, Wisteria, and Two Names.

On Saturday afternoon, you can hit the Asbury Park Punk Rock Flea Market in Convention Hall. You'll find records, patches, and all manner of music related memorabilia with which to stock your shelves back home.

You can enjoy a "Caribbean Dream" vegan Sunday brunch prepared by This Charming Bakery at Asbury Lanes on Sunday. Bobby Mahoney and The Seventh Son headline The Stone Pony with help from The Vaughns, Atlas Bloom, and more on Sunday afternoon. In the evening, Colton Kayser and Able Thought are at Belmar Arts Council. Stuyvesant, Varistor, and Miss Ohio are at Hoboken's Northern Soul. Philadelphia's Dogs On Acid play The Saint with Wreaths, Grand Mariner, Weezer tribute band Pig Rypper, and the lovelies in Dentist.

Enjoy every last bit of wonderfulness that summer has to offer, and come by the carousel on Friday night to say hi and get down with some sweet, sweet rock and roll.
