It's been a tough day here at CDMHQ. The Asbury... ...No... ...The national music scene saw one of its greatest venues hold its final show last night before closing for a this-doesn't-sound-like-corporate-euphemism-at-all "careful refresh." 

It's one of those days when it's nice to be able to turn to your friends. Dentist have been great friends to CoolDad Music over the last couple of years, and I just happen to have some video from their show this past Saturday night at Wonder Bar to brighten your day.

They're performing "Applejack," a newish song that's been part of their set for a while now. I believe the song will be appearing on the band's upcoming second LP. "Applejack" shows that Dentist are still on top of their game when it comes to crafting catchy indie pop that has a little bite to it. Justin Bornemann's guitar sounds great on this one.

Check out the video below, and check out Dentist when they play at Asbury Park Yacht Club with Plato Zorba on October 9th and when they go trick-or-treating as Green Day on Halloween Night at Convention Hall. In between, intrepid Jerseyites can head to Brooklyn's Gutter on October 16th when the band play the Little Dickman / Sugar Mama BK CMJ showcase with a bunch of our other friends including The Battery Electric, Black Flamingos, Sharkmuffin, and more.
