New Video / Single from C.R. Gennone's Upcoming A Moment of Clarity EP

"The Brat"

I've shared a couple of recent things with you from C.R. Gennone. "Angels" and "Lookin' Back" were quite different from one another with the former going a little more of the noisy, poppy route; while the latter was more melodic and wide open. Gennone proves that he won't be pigeonholed into any genre with the release of "The Brat" from his forthcoming A Moment of Clarity.

The track is chock full of guests including Roy Orbitron's Conor Meara on lead guitar, Tim Erbach of Perennial Reel on bass, Steve Sandler of Knights Templar and Winnebago on drums / vocals, Steve Sachs of YJY on vocals, Kim Lettiere of Party Cops on vocals, and Harrison Bieth of Tribal Days on sax. Max Rauch of LKFFCT and NGHTCRWLRS mixed and mastered the whole thing.

Together, that collective of musicians produces something with a swaying, retro, dare I say, kind of Jersey sound. The accompanying Steve Sandler-directed video, featuring a pathetic walk along the boards in Seaside Heights, fits right in with the whole vibe of the song.

Check out the video below and stay tuned for more information on the release of C.R. Gennone's A Moment of Clarity.

Catch C.R. Gennone live, next Tuesday, October 20th at Mara's Cafe & Bakery in South Orange.
