CoolMom's Home! Yeah!
After a week on our own here at CDMHQ, the cooldaughters and I have CoolMom back; and we couldn't be happier. We had fun doing our thing, but it's always nice to have the full team on the field. There's quite a bit going on this weekend both locally and further afield, so let's get to it.
dollys and ROMP are on a little weekender together, and it starts on Thursday night at The Citizen in Jersey City where they'll be joining Newt and Delicate Flowers. Delicate Flowers are celebrating the release of Happy Accidents. In The West in New Brunswick hosts Youth Expire, Swim Team, Bilge Rat, Wild Rice, and Altered Cross. The Saint has a $5 show featuring Lowlight, Bone & Marrow, and Portland, Oregon's Strangled Darlings.
On Friday night, the We're Ghosts Now / Fun While You Wait East Coast Roast tour brings them to NYC's Alphabet Lounge for a show with Foxanne. Volt Direction and Parakeet play a free show at APYC. It's JeffFEST at Strand Center for the Arts in Lakewood featuring Jesse Malin, Mark Erelli, and Val Emmich. Shady Street Show Band open for The Hip Abduction at Wonder Bar.
On Saturday, Teenage Halloween head to Montclair to play with Jeffrey Lewis and Los Bolts, El Americano, and Professor Caveman at 73 See Gallery. Chris Rockwell curates "No Egos" hip-hop showcase at APYC. Dentist are at The Beanery in New Brunswick with Din, Water Polo, and steve. House of Independents hosts Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster's Furious 5. Overlake, Dead Stars, and Vaureen are at Mercury Lounge in NYC. Hey Anna play Brooklyn's Rough Trade with Zuli. St. Mew's in New Brunswick has Ultra Deluxe, Sativa Cult, Surf Rock Is Dead, and Lunch Ladies.
Big show at Brighton Bar on Sunday with I Am The Avalanche, The Moms, and Puddle Splasher. dollys and ROMP come home to New Brunswick for a show at J House with Clique and Wheel & Frame. Rayland Baxter and Cranston Dean are at The Saint.
