Premiere: New Video from Paper Streets

"Freddy's Dead"

A while back, I shared with you "Once More with Feeling," the first single from Paper Streets' upcoming Simple Silver Stars EP. The band worked with legendary producer Mitch Easter at his Fidelitorium Recording Studio in North Carolina while putting together the EP. Today, we get another single from that collaboration in the form of an amazing stop-motion video created by Paper Streets' singer / guitarist Cody Ste. Marie.

The band continue with their 1990s pop culture references calling this one "Freddy's Dead." The video captures the loneliness and self doubt of the song while answering the age-old question of whether or not teddy bears dream in color or black and white. It's a great song and one of the best videos I have seen in a very long time.

Check it out below, and check out Paper Streets when they play at Brooklyn's Aviv on Tuesday, July 5th, with Doubting Thomas Cruise Control, Cheek Meat, and Danny Christmas.
