Premiere: New EP from Ghost Pressure

Live

Ghost Pressure came together in 2014. The Long Island / Brooklyn quartet of Nicholas Post (guitar, vocals), Dave Hodgkinson (guitar, vocals), Nicholas Femister (bass), and Karina McMahon (drums) released their debut EP, Chance, in early 2016. The band have since rounded out and expanded their sound with the addition of vocalist Lauren Diehlmann; and, today, we have the premiere of the three-song result of that new collaboration, Live.

Live opens with "Tiny Kings." Intricate guitars and intertwining vocals from Post and Diehlmann give the song an art-rock feel while keeping things accessible. Diehlmann is front and center on the darker "White Lighters." The art-pop of "New Science" closes things out on an upbeat note. Over the course of the three songs on Live, Ghost Pressure display an ability to use complex, layered arrangements in creating accessible alternative rock.

You can stream Live right here.

Tomorrow night, April 13th, Ghost Pressure play The Gateway in Brooklyn with New England Axe Factory, Flying Dead, and our friends Lunch Ladies.
