"Pirouettes"
Asbury Park's Wetbrain released their debut LP, A Certain Light, this past spring. It's a collection of progressive, left-of-center indie rock. A pretty good example of where Wetbrain are coming from is A Certain Light track "Pirouettes." The song is complex, atmospheric, jazzy. Earlier this week, the band released an appropriately weird, animated video for the song.
Rudy Meier animated and created the video for "Pirouettes," and it's pretty mind-blowing. Meier also played a wide range of instruments, recorded, engineered, and handled most of the production duties on A Certain Light making him kind of a renaissance man, I guess. Check out his handiwork below.
You can catch Wetbrain when they open for Blaha at The Saint on October 22nd as part of a Little Dickman Records-curated bill that also includes Carb On Carb and Yawn Mower.
